JSP activists stage dharna in Kakinada

Kakinada:  The Jana Sena Party activists and leaders led by Mutta Sasidhar and J Kumpatla Vijay Gopal staged dharna at East Godavari Collectorate here on Wednesday, denouncing the government’s inaction in controlling dengue and other diseases in the district.

Addressing the gathering, the two leaders criticised the inaction of authorities in providing a proper dumping yard for the civic body in the last two decades. 

This had resulted in throwing of garbage at vacant places and near residential colonies. 

This attitude had created an unhealthy atmosphere and spread of mosquitoes resulting in viral diseases, they alleged.

They said that the authorities had been simply conducting awareness rallies and washing off their hands with no remedy to the problem.
