Congress seeks people’s support to achieve SCS in Bhimavaram
Bhimavaram: The Congress leaders started campaigning to back it in elections to achieve Special Category Status to the state.
Narsapur Parliamentary constituency leader Bommidi Ravi Srinivas conducted campaigning in Mogalturu on Friday.
He explained to masses about the Congress agenda that promised SCS.
The Congress senior leader informed the people that the Congress prime ministerial candidate Rahul Gandhi had vowed not to step into the state until he accords SCS after his election for Prime Minister post.
Srinivas lambasted the BJP by saying that none of the promises guaranteed to Andhra Pradesh was fulfilled.
The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi who promised SCS at meeting in Tirupati had ignored the same later.
Recently, he used police force to suppress agitation by farmers in Delhi.
The farmers who requested for loan waiver were treated badly. The police were ordered to use teargas shells against them.
The BJP had ignored people and backing corporate companies, he alleged.
Srinivas received Re 1 from the party sympathizers to boost party fund. He termed the Congress a party of the poor.
Quoting the party agenda, he said that the party on coming to power at Centre would waive loans up to Rs 2 lakh to farmers and members of DWCRA, four LPG cylinders per year to the poor families, Rajiv Arogya Sri, fine variety rice to white ration card holders apart from other benefits.
