Enforcement of plastic ban on radar
- Collector, civic chief visit super markets, restaurants and shops
- Inspect whether cloth bags are being given to customers or plastic covers
Tirupati: District Collector PS Pradyumna has inspected the implementation of plastic ban by visiting super markets, restaurants and various shops in the temple city on Saturday afternoon.
He was accompanied by MCT Commissioner V Vijay Rama Raju.
The Collector and Commissioner have visited several commercial establishments from VV Mahal Road to Kapila Theertham Road.
During the inspection, the Collector found many vendors were using paper covers, cloth bags and paper cups.
He examined the quality of cloth bags at More Super Market and interacted with the staff.
Even, he also sought the customers response on banning plastic in temple city.
They appreciated the MCT officials for enforcing plastic ban strictly by imposing fines.
On the occasion, the Collector gave a call to city residents to support the civic officials in implementation of plastic ban.
Later, Pradyumna and Vijay Rama Raju have purchased few groceries and carried them in a cloth bag.
