3D Centre of Excellence set up at MVGR College of Engineering
Visakhapatnam: Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation, Government of Andhra Pradesh in collaboration with Dasssault Systems have established a 3D Centre of Excellence at MVGR College of Engineering (A).
This is a world-class virtual learning centre to provide industry and domain skills to students. The goal of APSSDC is to train engineering students on 3D experience platforms on domains such as automotive, aerospace & off shore and marine is to establish a 3D experience centre which will be state-of-art facility in engineering.
MVGR has been selected as one of its centres along with 53 engineering colleges of AP from all 13 districts of the state. To this effect, APSSDC has offered 3D experience licenses and domain expert/ subject matter experts to train students and employ them at clients of Dassault Systems.
In this context, the college has entered into an MoU on Saturday with Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation(APSSDC) in order to inaugurate the Dassault Systems 3D Experience Centre at MVGR College. The programme being a flagship programme of government of AP, the centre is established with 37 high-end systems along with latest versions of software namely Catia, Annovia, Simulia and Delmia.
AP State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) Executive Director T Anil Kumar on the occasion pointed out the need to produce highly skilled workforce certified by industry leaders such as Dassault. The event was graced by Sr Manager APSSDC Prakash Rao, Correspondent MANSAS, Vice Principal Dr YMC Sekhar, Dean R&D Dr R Ramesh and HoD Mechanical Department Dr S Adinarayana.
