AP CM’s decision expected on Kadapa steel plant

Kadapa: R Srinivasulu Reddy, the TDP District President, has said that his party will continue to exert pressure on the central government until it agrees to establish a steel plant in Kadapa district, as per the assurance given in the AP Reorganisation Act.

Addressing press meet here on Monday, the TDP leader criticised the BJP-led NDA government for dragging the issue due to political reasons despite aware of Kadapa district is having natural resources in abundance. He has stated TDP MPs are leaving to Delhi very soon to convince the union government for the need of setting up the steel plant in Kadapa district.

In case, if Centre fails to respond on the issue then the Chief Minister will make a specific announcement over steel plant during the proposed Dharma Porata Deeksha on October 20 in Kadapa city. TDP district chief found fault with YSRCP President YS Jaganmohan Reddy for not exerting pressure on the Modi government to grant steel plant being a native of Kadapa district.

He alleged the YSRCP chief compromising with the saffron party to escape from various cases registered against him. He made it clear that the TDP is the only alternative to lead the state in the path of development.

The TDP leader slammed the BJP for trying to destabilise the AP government with the Income Tax (IT) raids.  He urged all sections of people to extend their support for Dharma Porata Deeksha and make it success.
