AIKF holds peaceful protest in Vijayawada

Vijayawada: The members of All India Kapu Federation (AIKF) participated in a peaceful protest here on Tuesday, demanding that the Central government approve the Kaapu reservation bill.

The peaceful protest was organised by AIKF president Gorrepati Arjuna Rao, treasurer Puli Venkata Vijaya Bhaskar and general secretary Medisetty Seshagari at Dharna Chowk.

Addressing the gathering, federation president Arjuna Rao said the Kapu reservation bill was approved allotting five percent reservation under F category by the Andhra Pradesh State Assembly on December 1, 2017. 

The same was sent for the approval from the Parliament. 

However, till date no action was taken by the BJP led NDA government to approve the bill.
