AKNU Kho Kho team selected in Rajamahendravaram

Rajamahendravaram: Adikavi Nannaya University (AKNU) vice-chancellor Prof Murru Mutyala Naidu has advised the students to bring name and fame to the university by succeeding in state and national-level tournaments.

Participating in the selection programme of Kho Kho players held in the campus here on Tuesday, he said that he know the stamina of university students and asked them to come with flying colors in the tournaments.

All the students should play for the university and not for their own, he said, adding that he was confident that the students win the tournament. 

Students from Rampachodavaram and Chintoor also attended the selection programme.

The selection of girls for Kho Kho team was completed and the university was imparting training to them, he informed. 

The selected players will go to Mangalore university on October 12 for Kho Kho women tournament and on October 24, the players also go to Venkateswara university to participate in Kho Kho men’s tournament.

Kho Kho team organising chairman Dr K Subba Rao, secretary Dr Ram Gopal, selection committee observer Dr Narasimha Raju, mentors Ammanna Choudary and Venkateswara Rao and others were present.
