Give missed call to register for vote says DRO V Venkata Subbaiah

Ongole: The Prakasam district DRO, V Venkata Subbaiah announced that the Election Commission of India introduced a mobile number to register for the vote by just giving a missed call from the mobile phone of the voter.

He said in a statement that the Special Summery Revision 2019 for the photo electoral rolls is being conducted in the district as per the orders of the Election Commission of India. 

In order to be included in the SSR, the eligible persons, who are attaining age of 18 years by January 1, 2019, are encouraged to register for the votes without fail. 

The youth can submit the filled in application Form 6 to the respective voter registration officer or to their tahsildar or booth level officer by October 31. 

They can also apply online through the National Voter Services Portal or regular service centers like Mee Seva and AP Online centers.

Apart from these, the DRO said that the interested youth can also utilise the missed call service introduced by the Election Commission by giving a missed call to 08367797101 and get registered as a voter.
