One Day International tickets from Oct 15

Visakhapatnam: The first organising committee meeting of the 2nd One Day International (ODI) between India and West Indies (day and night) to be played on October 24 at Dr YSR ACA VDCA Stadium, was held on Tuesday.

Chairman of the committee and VPT Chairman MT Krishna Babu, proposed to form a subcommittee and frame the rules regarding the complimentary passes and tickets denominations. He also updated the gathering that as per BCCI guidelines 10 per cent complimentary tickets would only issue. Also, the sale of tickets and complimentary passes would be placed on ACA website for transparency. 

Mahesh Laddha, Commissioner of Police updated the gathering regarding various safety methods being practiced for the smooth conduction of the match. BPT president GVGK Ranga Raju thanked BCCI for giving the opportunity for hosting the match in the port city.

He explained the gathering about the tax pattern and its applicability for the sale of tickets for this match and proposed for the reduction of ticket denomination. Ch Arun Kumar, Secretary, ACA explained the situations which brought the match to ACA and why and how ACA accepted to take up this event.

The tickets will be kept for sales online from October 15 onwards along with 10 offline counters at various prominent centres in the city. Various sub committees like hospitality, security, transportation, sanitation, catering and publicity were formed.
