Platform ticket rate increased at 3 stations

Vijayawada: The railways is going to increase rate of platform tickets at Vijayawada, Nellore and Rajahmahendravaram Stations to regulate non-travelling public during the Dasara festival season for 12 days.

In view of the ensuing festival season, it is anticipated that there will be huge crowd of rail travellers as well as accompanying non-travellers at Vijayawada, Nellore and Rajahmundry railway stations.

In order to regulate the flow of people who enter the platforms and avoid inconvenience to the travelling public by means of ensuring decongestion of platforms, the rate of platform tickets at Vijayawada, Nellore and Rajahmundry railway stations will be enhanced from present Rs 10 to Rs 20 for a period of twelve days from October 10 to October 21, 2018. Rail authorities appealed to the users to kindly note the same and extend cooperation.
