Visakhapatnam City gets ready to face swine flu menace

Visakhapatnam: With the suspicious swine flu cases registering in Visakhapatnam, the district administration and medical and health wings alerted the staff and other officials to gear up to face any emergencies. Collector Pravin Kumar convened a meeting last night with all medical officers of government hospitals.

Discussing about the arrangements, collector said that swine flu cases have been registered in the neighbouring places including Kakinada, Rajamahendravaram and Tirupati. The medical officers at the places have already diagnosed the cases and started treatment.  

The collector directed the officials to take up necessary arrangements for attending swine flu cases in the district. Already 12 screening centres at Chest, King George, Anakapalle NTR, Narsipatnam government, steel plant, INS Kalyani, Port Golden Jubilee, Railway hospitals and Paderu, Araku Valley and Chintapalle Primary Health Cntres, have been arranged to diagnose the swine flu in the district.
