AP tops in agro-based exports 

Vijayawada: Agriculture, agro-based products, pharmaceuticals and plastic products constitute 77 per cent of the total exports from Andhra Pradesh. Though the state government is giving top priority to promote industrial development, the agriculture plays a vital role in the state economy and exports are also increasing from the state.  

During financial year 2017-18, the total exports from Andhra Pradesh were Rs 84,640 crore. Exports increased by Rs 4,080 crore which was five per cent more compared to the previous financial year. The department of industries is collecting the data of total exports from Andhra Pradesh to other states and countries.
