All villages will get drinking water, promises MLA Sivarama Raju

Akiveedu: Undi MLA Sivarama Raju has promised people of his constituency that the government will provide drinking water to every remote village.

He convened a meeting of TDP leaders at Bondadapet village of Kalla mandal in West Godavari district on Thursday.

Addressing the party cadres, the MLA informed that the government had earmarked Rs 101 crore funds for distributing drinking water to all villages in his constituency.

Out of these funds, Kalla mandal was allotted Rs 27 crore. As per government planning, alum treatment plants would come up in all villages.

Conceding that some villages had been facing acute shortage for drinking water, the MLA promised that by Sankranti, all families would get water from taps.

Sivarama Raju informed that Rs 10 lakh funds were allocated to every village for development of crematoria. 

As part of encouragement for aqua sector, the government had been extending round-the-clock three-phase power supply to aqua ponds. 

Even the electricity bill unit price was reduced from Rs 3.50 to Rs 2. 
The government had identified eligible youth to sanction dole for them.
