Governor lauds role of police in AP state

Guntur: Governor of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana ESL Narasimhan appreciated the role of  police in developing the state and creating investor friendly atmosphere. He made a special mention of opening NRI Cell, Women's Protection Wing, Investors Safety and Security Wing.

The Governor received national salute by APSP guards and planted  saplings at the DGP office premises near Mangalagiri in Guntur district on Thursday, visited CID wing and went through A P Police Head-Quarters building. He presented Union Home Minister's trophies, medals to best police trainers and best training institutions.

Speaking on the occasion, he urged the police to further improve their services to the public and win their hearts. He advised them to interact with people frequently and take their suggestions and give patient hearing to the problems of the victims. He also suggested them to speak friendly with the people. 

He said, " In order to succeed, the police should know basic problems of people and village, and safeguard basic human values. There is need to learn latest technology for the speedy investigation of the cases. Technical knowledge will improve efficiency of police.

There is need of patience and discipline to get recognition. White collar crimes are on rise and need to keep a backup to keep your data. When police will abide by law, society will give respect to them." 

He said that A.P .Police has been at top at national level and keep this with consistent efforts and professionalism. Earlier, DGP R P Thakur explained about Law and Order situation in the state.
