Increase greenery to save environment says Sub-Collector CM Saikanth Varma

Rajamahendravaram: Sub-Collector CM Saikanth Varma has said everyone should put their efforts to protect environment by increasing greenery.

Planting saplings in Velugubanda village under the aegis of NSS unit of Godavari Institute of Engineering and Technology (GIET) in Velugubanda village on Thursday, he said environment was being polluted on a massive scale.

He advised the students to bring awareness among the people about the importance of protecting environment. 

He asked NSS volunteers to participate in social service activities on a massive scale and NSS is a right forum to inculcate the habit of serving the people.

NSS programme officer YD Shiva Prasad and NSS volunteers were present.
