Vehicular traffic restored on beach road

Kakinada: The vehicular traffic on Kakinada- Addaripeta beach road has been revived on Thursday late in the evening after Kakinada RDO L Raghu Babu gave formal clearance. It may be mentioned here that the vehicular traffic was interrupted late on Wednesday night following Titli cyclone effect.

The cyclone and heavy gales and tidal waves, raised up to a height of two to three meters, had damaged R&B road for a stretch of about 500 meters. As stones were spread on the road and several potholes formed, the road was closed by revenue authorities for safety reasons.

After the winds slowed down to some extent, the R&B authorities cleared the stones on the road on Thursday evening. East Godavari R&B Executive Engineer Raghava Rao said that they have removed stones on the road. Kakinada RDO L Raghu Babu said that the traffic on the road was restored after R&B officials gave clearance.
