Will construct R&R colonies with all amenities: Minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy
Nellore: Agriculture Minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy said that they would construct Relief and Rehabilitation (R&R) colonies with all amenities for convenience of the residents. The Minister, along with the Joint Collector Vetri K Selvi, laid foundation for Nelatur Rehabilitation Housing Project at Vaviletipadu in Nellore rural mandal and also in Madaraju Gudur in TP Gudur here on Friday.
Addressing the meeting at Madaraju Gudur, Somireddy has said that the government will construct 171 houses with Rs 34.70 crore at Vaviletipadu village, 309 houses with Rs 68.1 crore at Madaraju Gudur. He also explained that they will invite tenders for construction of these houses in association with APGENCO, NCC, and TPCL thermal plants.
Steps will be taken for conducting housewarming ceremony within next 7-8 months, he stated. The Minister explained that the government would construct houses similar to gated community with Rs 100 crore with all amenities. Former Legislator Adala Prabhakar Reddy said that local people have been supporting to run firms in the coastal areas.
Measures would be taken to provide permanent employment to the locals in APGENCO and also in other firms as part of R&R package, he added. He also said that the state government would provide all amenities in the colonies. Joint Collector Vetri K Selvi has mentioned that they will arrange hospital, drinking water facility, market, government school, Anganwadi Centre and other amenities in these new colonies.
