A project to be named after Murthi: Ganta Srinivasa Rao

Visakhapatnam: Minister for HRD Ganta Srinivasa Rao announced that the name of late MVVS Murthi would be titled to one of the important projects in Visakhapatnam. 

The Minister also announced that MVVS Murthi’s bronze statue would be set up at an important location in the city.

Telugu Desam Party organised MVVS Murthi’s condolence meeting at the party office here on Saturday. 

While paying floral tributes to Murthi, the Minister said that Murthi is a statesman and proved his calibre as an industrialist, educationist and as a politician. 

He was a committed leader and never absent to the Parliament during 1999-2004, the Minister reminded his association with Murthi. 

Ganta Srinivasa Rao represented from Anakapalle while MVVS Murthi represented from Visakhapatnam to Lok Sabha during the period.

Party Visakhapatnam city wing president and MLA V Ganesh Kumar presided over the meeting. After the meeting one of halls in the party office was named as MVVS Murthi hall.

MLAs P Srinivasa Rao, Bandaru Satyanarayana Murthy, P Ramesh Babu, former ministers RSDP Appalanarasimha Raju, M Manikumari, former MLA SA Rahaman, Murthi’s grandson Bharath and several others shared their experiences with Murthi.
