No need for early polls in Telangana, opines Pawan Kalyan

Vijayawada: Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan inaugurated his party State office here on Saturday.  Pawan along with former Speaker of State Assembly Nadendla Manohar and several other leaders took part in the pujas. Speaking on the occasion, Pawan Kalyan said that he wanted to contest 24 seats in Telangana. However, the decision for contesting in Telangana elections would be announced soon. "There is no need to go for early elections in Telangana," he said.   

Jana Sena chief also said that his target is mainly to change the political system. He said that the Jana Sena was established not just to win the 2019 elections. The Jana Sena workers would take part in relief measures in Srikakulam cyclone-affected areas, he said and added that the Jana Sena would conduct Jana Sainiks march on October 15. He said that the Jana Sena is ready to do any sacrifice in the interests of the society. He said that he would have reacted if the IT raids were conducted on the Secretariat or the Chief Minister’s Office.  He commented how he could react when the industrialists and business people are being questioned by IT department. 

He further said that he would discuss the matter with other leaders of the party. Pawan made it clear that he doesn’t have any relation with the BJP or anyone in the party. He said that the Jana Sena would attend an all-party meet, if the government organises it on the Special Category Status. Pawan said that they boycotted such meetings in the past because the government did not conduct the meeting without commitment. He said that Special Category Status was required for the development of Andhra Pradesh. Several senior leaders M Gopala Krishna, M Gangadharam, M Krishna Rao and others were present.
