AP Ministers monitoring relief operations in Srikakulam

Srikakulam: State ministers N Chinarajappa, N Lokesh, K Kala Venkata Rao, K Atchannaidu, P PullaRao, P Satyanarayana, S Chandramohan Reddy, Sujaykrishna Rangarao and Kollu Ravindra have been monitoring cyclone relief operations going on in Itchapuram, Kaviti, Kanchili, Mandasa, Sompeta, Palasa and Vajrapukotturu mandals on Sunday.

They have supervised food arrangements, water supply, sanitation, distribution of essentials and power lines restoration in all affected villages. Ministers distributed ration goods in Kaviti and Itchapuram mandals.

Speaking on the occasion Minister Kala Venkata Rao assured the public to restore power supply by Monday night in most parts of the affected areas. 30,000 poles collapsed and they have been replacing by engaging workers from Odisha, Jharkhand, Tamil Nadu.

As many as 120 deputy collectors and 40 IAS officers are enumerating cyclone damages in all the affected mandals, Ministers Pulla Rao and Ravindra explained. 60 NDRF and SDRF teams are participating in restoration operations to clear trees, roads etc. Minister Lokesh monitoring food arrangements, water supply and power lines restoration operations in Mandasa mandal.
