AP reached to 3rd position from 17th in Education: Ganta Srinivas

Ongole: The minister for education and human resources development, Ganta Srinivasa Rao announced that the state has bettered its position in education from 17th place to 3rd in the country, with the regular upgrading of infrastructure, technology and faculty.

Speaking to the media at Ongole, after inspecting the arrangements for the Pratibha Awards Distribution Ceremony at Mini Stadium, the minister said that as the chief minister felt he may not visit Ongole on Monday, as he is busy in works of restoring life to normalcy in Titli affected areas in Srikakulam. He said that the CM adjusted his schedule to not to disappoint the meritorious students who are about to receive the state level awards and wanted to encourage them.

Srinivasa Rao announced that the government is giving Pratibha awards to a total of 7010 students along with Rs 25000 cash prize and certificate. He said that they are giving the awards to 248 students who performed in sports also. The minister said that the 91 district level toppers will receive the awards through the hands of the chief minister in the award function.
