Improve knowledge using IT: Chandrababu Naidu

Ongole: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu announced that if the Pratibha awardees join the government job in future, they will get an extra year of service before retirement.  He said that the awardees will retire at their 61 years of age, while the others retire after superannuation at 60 years, as per the present rules.

The Chief Minister participated in the distribution programme of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Pratibha awards for the Class X, Intermediate, Degree and PG, Technical and University level students along with the top performers in the sports, held in Ongole on Monday. He said that he is happy to see more number of girls in the 7,010 awardees.

He interacted with some awardees and advised them to take inspiration from the former president APJ Abdul Kalam. He asked the students to utilise Jnanabheriprogramme and Rs 10 crore funds to each district under it to conduct experiments with an innovative approach..

The Chief Minister asked the students to improve their knowledge by using information technology. Chandrababu Naidu announced that the government is giving a cash prize of Rs 20,000, a tablet computer, certificate and medal for the Pratibha awardees.

He announced that if any of the Pratibha awardees are selected for the government job in future, they will be given an extra year of service and will retire after they become 61 years.

The Chief Minister announced his government’s commitment to complete the boring of first tunnel in Veligonda project by January 2019. He said that the SomasilaRallapadu canal works are completed while the Gundlakamma, Sangameswaram, Korisapadu projects will be completed soon.

He announced that industries will come to the Donakonda industrial corridor soon and expected the central government initiate the works of NIMZ at Kanigiri in near future. He said that a Mega Food Park is being established at Nagarajupalli in Parchuru constituency and discussions are on the way to set up a paper pulp industry in district.

He said that the DPR for the Ramayapatnam port will be prepared soon and the foundation for general university in district will be laid in Jnanabhumi program next month.

The ministers Ganta Srinivasa Rao, Siddha Raghavarao, MP Sriram Malyadri, MLAs, MLCs and other officials of the education department and district adiministartion also participated in the awards distribution ceremony.
