Police Martyrs’ Day marathon held

Ongole: The Police Martyrs Day marathon run was organised from police headquarters in Ongole town on Sunday morning. Superintendent of Police Bhusarapu Satya Yesubabu said that the police department is organising the Police Martyr Week from October 15 to 21. 

He said that as part of the week-long programmes, the police are conducting open house, elocutions and other awareness programmes for children. On Sunday Police Martyrs Day marathon run was conducted remembering the sacrifices of policemen to keep the society peaceful.

He added that they are remembering the six martyrs from the district along with others and taking inspiration from them. Various welfare programmes are being conducted for the police families in the district.
