Adala to contest for Nellore Lok Sabha seat
Nellore: Former Minister Adala Prabhakar Reddy has announced at a programme on Monday that he will be contesting for the Nellore Lok Sabha seat. Speaking to the media here, Adala also declared that former MLA Bollineni Krishnaiah will be fielded from Atmakur Assembly constituency in the forthcoming polls.
Prabhakar Reddy, who is TDP In-charge for the Nellore Parliament Constituency, has mentioned that he spoke to Krishnaiah and asked him to contest from Atmakur Assembly constituency.
“We both have discussed on the problems faced by the local people in Atmakur and reviewed with officials to know exact status of the pending projects in the constituency. Farmers in the constituency are demanding to complete Somasila High Level Canal (HLC) works immediately and also to start the tender process for the second phase,” said Prabhakar Reddy.
Former MP said they had discussed the issues with Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and requested him to resolve them immediately. He also explained that the government will complete the first phase of HLC works within four months in Atmakur segment. Prabhakar Reddy informed that tender the process had already started.
State government would construct a Shadi Manzil in Atmakur constituency with Rs 3.2 crore and the ground-breaking ceremony would be performed within a month, he stated. He assured people of developing AS Pet Dargah as a tourism destination with all amenities shortly. He also explained that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu had allocated 1,000 houses additionally to Atmakur segment. Local TDP leaders were present.
