Chandrababu Naidu always welcome to contest from Tirupati in 2019 polls: Suguna

Tirupati: Responding over the viral news on social media of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will becontesting from Tirupati Assembly constituency in the forthcoming elections, the Tirupati MLA M Suguna said she will extend support to the Chief Minister in the interest of the party and people of the constituency.

Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, Suguna has made it clear that she did not receive any indications from the party high command in this regard. The MLA declared that she will be contesting from Tirupati in 2019 elections too. She came down heavily on the BJP-led NDA government for misusing the Income Tax (IT) Department to raid the companies of the TDP leaders. 

To silence the TDP MPs and leaders from demanding Special Category Status (SCS) to Andhra Pradesh, the MLA alleged that the Modi government carrying out IT raids on firms and houses of the prominent TDP functionaries. 

TUDA Chairman Narasimha Yadav has criticised the BJP government at Centre for not implementing the bifurcation assurances as per the AP Reorganisation Act. He challenged the state BJP leaders to prove corruption charges against the TDP leaders. The TUDA chief stated the people of the state will teach a lesson to BJP in next polls. Party city president D Bhaskar Yadav and other leaders were present.
