Plea to install Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Narayan statue at a prominent place

Kakinada: The People’s Voice of AP demanded that the government instal statue of ‘Lok Nayak’ and ‘Bharat Ratna’ Jayaprakash Narayan at a prominent place in the city.
At a press meet organised here on Wednesday, the convener of people’s voice, D Ramana Raju said that JP was associated with trade union movement and had worked for the cause of working class in India.
His statue installed at Mahatma Gandhi Bridge down in Jagannaickpur area in Kakinada city in the year 2013 was shifted to an insignificant place in March 2016 near the Labour Park.
The People’s Voice demanded that the authorities reinstate the statue at a prominent place in Jagannaickpur area as a fitting tribute to ‘Lok Nayak’.
