Lokesh to lay foundation stone for Krishna TDP office today
Vijayawada: The Telugu Desam Party, Krishna district unit has made all arrangements to construct its new party office near Autonagar in the city. Minister for IT Nara Lokesh will lay foundation stone for new office on Saturday.
So far, Krishna district party office is being run in various private rented buildings in the city. Though the party has its own office buildings in various districts and cities, the local leadership could not establish permanent office building in Vijayawada city for the city and the district office purpose.
Previously, the party office was set up in a private building in Eluru road. The party had to shift the party office building from the Eluru road after former minister late Devineni Rajasekhar resigned to the party.
He run the party office from his own sources. Later, the TDP shifted its party office from one building to another for six times. In this backdrop, the TDP state leadership decided to construct new party office for the needs of the city and district party units.
Presently the party operations are being run from a rented building on Bandar road. Now, the TDP made plans to construct the building before the next elections.
Minister Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao, Mayor Koneru Sridhar, MLC Bachula Arjunudu, corporators Devineni Aparna, Chennupati Gandhi and several leaders visited the office site here on Friday to supervise the arrangements.
