10 Tamil wood cutters arrested seized Rs 1crores worth 78 red sander logs

Kadapa: Ina major breakthrough forest officials have seized Rs 1crore worth 78 red sander logs

by arresting 10 Tamil wood cutters in Sani Sayee forest area of Sundupalli Sundipalli village of Rajampet mandal wee hours of Tuesday.The accused have been identified as 1.Govindan(32) 2. K.Raman (30) 3.Kali Muthu (37)4.M Ramaswamy katyal (36) 5.Chinnayyapan (38) 6. V.Sadayan (32) of Vellore district of Tamil Nadu state 7. 

M.Subrahmanyam (42) Yerrapalem village of Chittor district, 8.R.Srinivasulu C.K Dinne mandal  9.V.Venkataramana (40) Metakatla village of Rayachoti mandal of Kadapa district, 10.S Gopal of Bangalore city.

Addressing press conference Pincha forest range officer L.Ramana said following tip off they have conducted raids at Sani sayee forest in Sundupalli village and busted the accused the while illegally transporting the red sander logs to the outside areas. He said that the cost of 2 tones weighed 78 red sander logs was Rs 1crore in international market. He said there was 26 Tamil wood cutters indulged in the crime among them 10 were nabbed during the raids remaining 16 were fled from the spot as searching operations intensified for nabbing remaining accused he said.
