Anganwadi workers to receive diplomas tomorrow
Tirupati: The first of its kind programme in the state ‘Yashoda’ initiated by the District Collector PS Pradyumna and successfully implemented by Sri Padmavathi Mahila Visvavidyalayam (SPMVV) will be celebrating its convocation on October 24.
Yashoda (Yardstick for Self-Empowerment, Holistic and Overall Development of Anganwadi Personnel) was aimed at training the Anganwadi workers to improve services at Anganwadi centres. It which was launched in December 2017.
The Collector asked SPMVV to take the initiative to design the curriculum and other modalities. Under this programme the training was given to the workers for six months so that they can deliver the services more effectively.
SPMVV faculty were involved in the training and held examinations at the end of the course for which 1,354 Anganwadi workers have attended and 1,308 have successfully cleared the examination. They will get their diploma certificates at the convocation to be held in SPMVV.
