Make Chalo Vijayawada on Oct 26 a success: AITUC

Guntur: All India Trade Union Council (AITUC) Guntur district general secretary Veluguri Radha Krishna Murthy said that they will hold protests at Labour Commissioner office and will organise Chalo Vijayawada on October 26 opposing minimum wages draft GO issued by the government.

Addressing a meeting held at Mallaiah Lingam Bhavan in Guntur city on Tuesday, he said that the government issued a GO to revise the wages after a long time, in which the government reduced the wages of the workers. 

He demanded that the government fix minimum wage at Rs 18,000 per month to the workers and issue a GO to this effect. 

He urged workers to make Chalo Vijayawada programme a grand success. He criticized that while cost of living was increasing, the government was reducing wages of workers.
