The parties and Dalit groups staged dharna at Jute Mill Centre here and raised ‘shame shame’ slogans for government’s ‘failure’ to arrest the ‘accused’ MLA even after 33 days of registering a case against him.

Stating that law was same for all, they flayed TDP government for making fun of the law. “Is the MLA an exception to law and authorised to indulge in unlawful activities,” they questioned.

Venkateswara Rao (CPI-ML-New Democracy), Kishore (CPM), Kannababu (CPI), Rammohan (Congress), Prasad (CITU), Venkatrao (IFTU) and others took part in the agitation.

They threatened the government to intensify the agitation if it ignore the case.
