Pawan Kalyan submits petition to E S L Narasimhan for Centre’s help

Hyderabad: Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan on Tuesday demanded  Governor E S L Narasimhan  immediate relief from the Union government to the victims of  Titli cyclone that devastated the entire Srikakulam district and also part of  North coastal Andhra recently.

Pawan along with his party leaders called on the Governor at Raj Bhavan and submitted a memorandum seeking his immediate  intervention in providing assistance to the affected families.

He explained to the Governor  in detail the loss of property and damage to crops due to cyclone . He also presented an audio, video recordings of the plights of people displaced in Srikakulam district. The Jana Sena leader said that he and his party men visited all the cyclone-hit areas and prepared a ground report. 

He told the Governor that the relief and rehabilitation of the displaced people could be addressed on fast pace only with the intervention of the Centre. 

Speaking to media later, Pawan said that his party interacted with more than one lakh affected people and understood their problems . The normalcy would not be restored in the district unless there was a coordination between the state and Union government in extending relief. 

Welcoming the High Court direction to the Andhra Pradesh government to hold panchayat elections in a three months,  the Jana Sena leader demanded the state government to initiate the process and honour the court orders .  His party is ready to face elections anytime, he added.
