Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation training imparted to NCC cadets, teachers
Tirupati: In its bid to train number of people in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) programme which is an emergency procedure performed to maintain blood circulation and flow of oxygen to heart, brain and other vital organs of the body, SVIMS conducted one each programme at Kuppam and Chittoor on Wednesday.
In Chittoor, students and staff of SVIMS conducted CPR programme to train 500 NCC cadets while another team went to Kuppam and trained 2,000 teachers, healthcare workers and community leaders to expand the reach and cover the whole district.
Already, SVIMS has trained 20,000 citizens in this programme. Each of these trainees will be skilled further to act as trainers at their respective communities. They will work alongside SVIMS faculty, students and staff to make Chittoor district CPR Smart within a short time.
