636 secure jobs in Job Mela at Nimra Engineering College, Ibrahimpatnam
Vijayawada: Minister for Water Resource Management Devineni Umamaheshwara Rao handed over appointment letters to about 636 candidates who were selected at a job mela held at Nimra Engineering College, Ibrahimpatnam here on Friday.
The job fair was organised by AP State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC), Society for Employment Generation and Enterprise Development(SEEDAP) and Minister for Water Resources Devineni Umamaheswara Rao.
Speaking on the occasion, Umamaheswara Rao said that the unemployed youth have been given Rs 1,000 as unemployment dole.
He said that skill training was also provided free in the name of Mukhyamantri Nestham.
He further said that they would conduct job mela in Gollapudi next month.
As many as1438 candidates and 44 companies participated in the recruitment drive. About 810 eligible candidates attended the mega job mela.
In all 636 candidates were selected after they were interviewed by various companies. DRDA Project Director Chandrashekhar Raja along with the APSSDC officials attended the event.
