DSC to fill 7,675 teacher posts
- Notification to be released today

Vijayawada: Here is good news to the DSC aspirants who have been eagerly waiting for the notification.
The state government has decided to release DSC notification on Friday to fill 7,675 posts in Zilla Parishat, Mandala Parishat, Municipal schools, Models schools, Tribal schools, BC Welfare schools and APREI Society in Andhra Pradesh.
Minister for Human Resources Development Ganta Srinivas on Thursday released the schedule for the District Selection Committee and informed that the DSC notification would be released on Friday.
HRD Minister Ganta Srinivas Rao speaking to the media said the School Education department had taken steps to announce the DSC and recruit the posts as early as possible.
He said 4,341 posts would be filled for school education, 909 posts in Model schools, 1,100 posts in Municipal schools, 800 posts in Tribal welfare schools, 175 in APREI Society schools and 350 posts in BC welfare schools.
A total of 3,666 SGT posts will be filled in the DSC 2018. School assistant posts (SA) 1625, Language Pandits (LP) posts 452, Physical Education teachers (PET) 441, Graduate teachers (TGT) posts 556, and Post Graduate Teachers (PGT) posts 429, Principals’ posts 77 and Drawing/ Dance teacher posts 79 are in the list of the posts announced in the teacher’s category wise.
The HRD minister said the government announced the age relaxation of two years for attending the DSC. The age limit for OC category enhanced to 44 from 42 and for the disabled candidates increased to 54 from 52.
Applicants can pay fee for examination between November 1 and 15 and can submit applications online from November 1 to 16. Help desk services are available from November 1 to January 12, 2019 and option of centre selection is available from November 19 to November 24.
Online mock test will be held from November 17 onwards and the applicants can download the hall tickets from November 29 onwards.
Computer-based written test for SA (Non-Languages) will be held on December 6 and 10, SA (Languages) test on December 11, PGT test will be on December 12 and 13. Test for the TGT and Principal test on December 14 and 26, Examination for PETs, Music, Craft, Art and drawing will be held on December 17 followed by language pundits (LA) test on December 27.
