Maharshi Valmiki Jayanti celebrated

Kakinada: Rich tributes were paid to Maharshi Valmiki, the writer of  the epic Ramayana, on his jayanti.  

Speaking at the programme organised at the Revenue Bhavan here on Wednesday, city mayor Sunkara Pavani said Maharishi Valmiki attained divine powers  through spirituality. 

The programme was organised by BC Cooperative  Society popularly known as BC Corporation.

Joint collector A Mallikarjuna who participated in the Jayanti celebrations said that to make good prevail over evil Maharshi Valmiki wrote the epic Ramayana. 

Joint collector-2, Ch Sattibabu, BC  Corporation executive director M Jyoyti and others participated.
