Cops seize 30 kg ganja, one held in Rolugunta

Visakhapatnam: The Rolugunta police on Friday arrested one person for transporting ganja illegally in a car. The police intercepted a vehicle during routine check of vehicles at Bhogauram junction of Rolugunta mandal and seized 60 kg of ganja packed in three gunny bags.

However, two women gave a slip to police in the incident. According to police, the arrested was identified as J Prakash, a resident of  Narayanathevanpatti village, Uthamapalayam, Theni district of  Tamil Nadu.

During interrogation, the accused admitted that he regularly procures ganja from two women G Varahalamma and P Ramadevi of Paderu agency in Visakhapatnam and supplies it in Tamil Nadu. Rolugunta police registered a case under NDPS Act.
