Assistant professors’ posts to be filled soon

Guntur : The state government  is planning to to fill vacant assistant professor posts in the universities in the state soon. The APPSC has already sent the qualified candidates list to the concerned universities which will conduct interviews and select the candidates.   

As many as 3,240 candidates are qualified for the 1,044 assistant professor posts. Following pending case on the reservation, the UGC directed the government to stop the recruitment process till the further orders. 

Speaking to the Hans India, Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education, Vice-Chairman Prof. P Narasimha Rao said, ``Union of Ministry of Human Resource Development has already filed a Special Leave Petition in the Supreme Court.

We are expecting the Central government will issue ordinance to fill the vacant assistant professors posts in 15 days. As soon as, court case is cleared, we will fill the vacant assistant professor posts in the state.
