Coaching centres gear up for APPSC exams
Vijayawada: With the notification issued by the APPSC for recruitment of various posts in government departments in the State, the coaching centres in the city are gearing up to prepare the study material for the convenience of aspirants in the competitive examinations. Capital region of Vijayawada and Guntur has more than 30 coaching centres.
With elections are fast approaching, the government has decided to fill the posts as early as possible. Following are the posts to be filled in various government departments under various categories--Group I 182 posts, Group II 337 posts, Group III posts 1,670 posts, 1,604 posts in medical and health department and 725 lecturers’ posts, other posts 1,657. Over 9,257 teaching posts will be filled through DSC. The total number of posts to be filled through recruitment examinations is 18,450.
Keeping in view of opportunity to get the government jobs, thousands of candidates may join the coaching centres in Vijayawada and Guntur. The APPSC also released syllabus for Group I and II preliminary examination and Mains examination.
Aspiring candidates from rural areas will come to cities to attend the coaching classes for several months and most of them stays in the rooms or hostels.
On the other hand, the coaching institutes are preparing for printing the study material with the latest information on current affairs of national and international importance.
One of the important coaching centres in Vijayawada, Harshith Institute Director V Lokesh said that the institute was imparting coaching for the State and Central government jobs. He said study material would be prepared afresh for the use of candidates attending the APPSC examination.
A director of a coaching centre on Eluru road, K Srinivas said that the preparation of study material was big task and expensive. He said the institutes have to pay fee to the professional writers and spend huge amount of money for printing the study material.
