Electoral Literacy Club inaugurated at Bapatla

Bapatla: With an aim to impart electoral literacy to the youth and general public, first Electoral Literacy Club (ELC) was inaugurated at Bapatla on Monday. 

People will be provided information on registration of voters and will also be encouraged to motivate others to register themselves. 
The club was launched in the office of Forum For Better Bapatla by Bapatla Tahsildar T Vallaiah. 

The Municipal Commissioner, Sravan Kumar said that the Election Commission of India had conceptualised the idea of ELC at different social strata of the society to make citizens informed and ethical voters. 

The ECI had formulated different instructions as resource guide at school level, college level and community level. It was the  first Electoral Literacy Club  to spread awareness about electoral literacy.

Convener of the club Dr P C Sai Babu, deputy tahsildar Visweswara Rao, surveyor Satyanarana Reddy, magician Nandanada  Dutt and other staff participated.
