Income Tax officials raid residence of TD leader

Guntur: Income Tax Department officials simultaneously raided TDP leader Kovelamudi Ravindra's (Nani) residence, office and his guest house at Lakshmipuram in Guntur city on Monday. The I-T raids were conducted in the wee hours of Monday and are continuing.  The teams searched his office records and verified his I-T returns and other  documents. 

He owned several petrol bunks and gas agency. Recently, the I-T officials conducted raids on the houses of TDP leaders and sympathisers houses in Guntur city. The TDP leaders condemned the I-T raids on the houses of TDP leaders and sympathisers. They had earlier protested at Income Tax office in Guntur city against previous raids. 

Addressing media in the TDP Guntur district office, TDP district president G V Anjaneyulu said, `` BJP is taking revenge on the TDP leaders and I-T officials are conducting the raids on the houses of the TDP leaders and sympathisers  across the state .
