Quality engg education priority: New VC of JNTU-K

Kakinada: Prof M Ramalinga Raju who assumed charge as fourth vice-chancellor of  JNTU-K assured  to focus on quality  engineering education.

Speaking to press persons who met him on Saturday, the new VC said that his focus would be on quality engineering education and teacher training programmes for the benefit of student fraternity.

On this occasion, the V-C asked the professors to apply innovative techniques to meet the global challenges. 

The VC also said that he would promote Digital Libraries, Skill Development Centers, Industry Interaction, Personality Development, Communication Skills, Project Development Programmes. 

Ramalinga Raju also said that establishment of research centers linking up with IITs, internet facilities to hostels and infrastructure development would also be taken care of.

The VC asked faculty to provide hands of experience to the students to grab the global placements.

He exhorted on achieving NAAC Accreditation of JNTU-K from ‘B’ to ‘A’ level in order to attract the foreign students’ enrollment.

He said that top priority would be given to the promotion of research and skill development prior to the new assignment.
