Attack on Jagan : No money in accused bank accounts
Visakhapatnam: The investigation into the attack on Opposition Leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy revealed that the accused Janipalli Srinivasa Rao resorted to the attack for publicity only.
According to police sources, though they have been investigating the case to find out whether there was any involvement of any political party, it seems that the accused had planned the attack on his own to gain publicity for himself and was not revealing any further information except saying his intentions were in the 11-pages letter.
The police officials are saying that the remand report was prepared by the police based on the reports from the CISF and spot report. Accused J Srinivasa Rao, who was given SIT on seven-day remand on Sunday, was brought to the Airport Police Station on Monday for interrogation.
Sources said that so far 12 persons, including co-workers of the accused were questioned and three bank accounts of the accused with frugal balances of Rs 56, Rs 100 and Rs 500 were seized by police.
