Cracker stall owners warned against violation of norms

Guntur: Joint Collector AMD Imtiaz Ahmed directed the officials to take steps to avoid untoward incidents on the occasion Diwali.

He addressed a meeting held with the officials in the Collectorate on Monday.

Speaking on this occasion, he said that cracker sellers should submit their applications before October 31 to get license to set up stalls and added that licenses will be given by November 3.

He instructed the officials take steps so that all the cracker stall owners should follow norms framed by the district administration. 

He warned the traders against keeping stocks of petrol and diesel at the cracker stalls and set up no smoking boards. 

He instructed them to keep sand stocks at stalls. Guntur urban SP Ch Vijaya Rao was also present.
