Titli affected industries gets relief -Government provides 11 exemptions

Srikakulam: Industrial units in the district are getting relief from the state government. With an aim to the damaged units government provides 11 types of exemptions to all Titli cyclone affected industrial units. State government issued GO MS No. 134 in this regard. In Srikakulam total 451 industrial units damaged and loss was estimated as Rs 143 crore. 

All registered units and industries which are having insurance will get government exemptions and the exemptions will only applicable to units situated in Srikakulam. Six months period provides for payment of property tax, sales tax, power bills, repayment of loans under various schemes, stamp duty payment for all affected industrial units in the district. 

Government decided to clear all types of subsidies under various schemes which have been pending for the last two years and the amount is Rs 17 crore. Another kind of incentives like Rs 25, 000 for Rs 25 lakh worth investment units and Rs 50,000 for Rs 5 crore worth investment units. 

To get all the exemptions from the government registration with District industrial center (DIC) is compulsory said general manager of DIC, B Gopala Krishna told The Hans India.
