APSRTC to operate special buses in Kartika Maasam
Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) will operate special services to Pancharamams in the State to mark the Kartika Maasam in November and December.
Special services will be operated to five pilgrimage destinations in Bhimavaram, Palakollu, Samarlakota, Amaravati and Draksharam, which are five Pancharamams of the State.
APSRTC Krishna Regional Manager P Rama Rao told reporters that the special buses would start from Pandit Nehru bus station at 4 am and would return the same day by 10-11 pm.
He said the RTC had operated 190 buses last year and earned Rs 25 lakh. Now, the RTC is ready to operate 120 special buses to the Pancharamams in the State and appealed to the devotees to make use of services. He said the RTC would operate special buses if 35 to 40 passengers request for the special services.
