Bankers grilled over failure of setting up units

Eluru: West Godavari District Collector K Bhaskar turned angry at bankers poor performance in setting up of sanctioned units.

He reviewed progress of welfare departments here on Thursday.

Pointing accusing finger at bankers, the Collector wondered how the former failed to establish 10,000 employment units sanctioned subsidy during the past two fiscal years. 

Stating that subsidy was released for a total of 21,000 units sanctioned by the administration through various corporations, the Collector questioned the bankers as to why they had failed to help more than 10,000 units. 

He warned the officials with making them responsible for non-setting up of any employment unit for which subsidy was sanctioned.
