Speaker releasing a book ‘Alaya Nirmanam’

Guntur: Assembly Speaker Dr Kodela Sivaprasada Rao launched a book titled ‘Alaya Nirmanam’ edited by renowned archaeologist, temple architect  and CEO of Cultural Centre of Vijayawada and Amaravati Dr E Sivanagi Reddy at a programme held in Guntur on Friday.

The Speaker, while speaking on the occasion, opined that this book gives useful information on construction of temples, right from selection of site to consecration ceremony and also on various components of the temple.

Dr Reddy said that this book was based on Silpa and Agamasastras. It serves as a manual for temple construction for the students of temple architecture and Sthapatis of TTD and Endowments Department.

R Mallikarjuna Reddy, Regional Director, Tourism Department and Bapatu Venkata Reddy, Computer Analyst were present on the occasion.
