Strengthening of MSMEs stressed

Chittoor: Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Jayant Sinha said that there was an absolute need for strengthening of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

The central government has developed a unique strategy to give impetus to MSMEs, Sinha said while participating in a programme coordinated by Indian Bank and State-Level Bankers’ Committee (SLBC) here on Friday. The Union Minister explained the achievements of BJP-led NDA government in banking and industrial sectors.

He stated Prime Minister Narendra Modi is very much particular for giving support to the MSMEs. Explaining the reason for selecting Chittoor, Jayant said that district has potential to develop industrial corridors. There is a serious proposal for setting up industries on Chennai-Visakhapatnam corridor, he mentioned. Rajya Sabha member GVL Narasimha Rao has enlisted the achievements of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in banking sector.

District Collector PS Pradyumna has declared that a target was set to establish one MSME Park in each Assembly constituency in the district. Indian Bank General Manager Lakshmipathi Reddy, Saptagiri Grameena Bank Chairman B Suri Babu, Andhra Bank General Manager B Uma Sankar and other officials present.
