Bhudaar to prevent land irregularities

Update: 2018-11-05 05:30 IST

Kadapa: The state government is going to implement an innovative and sophisticated method called ‘Bhudaar ’ which  is meant to  prevent the  multiple registration of lands and illegal occupations at district level.

This method also helps Revenue department to identify assigned lands which are under illegal occupation. According to sources, the exercise has already begun in the districts like Krishna and Sri Kakulam. The district administration has been receiving several  petitions relating illegal occupation of lands, house sites, multiple registrations and pattadar pass books.

The officials were facing problems in solving the disputes. After discussing the issue, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu proposed this concept to protect public and private properties.  Under this new concept, Bhoodar, a digitised code comprising 11 numbers will be given to every land. The same number will be mentioned in the land revenue records of respective panchayats and  municipalities.

If  the land belongs to private person, the number should be registered in the name of farmer like Aadhaar card number. If the land belongs to government it should be registered with the designation of MRO of respective mandal. Once Bhudaar number is allocated to the land or house site, it will be officially declared as undisputed.
